Gage Academy of Art, a community-based art school serving Seattle for more than thirty years, seeks to educate, enrich, and transform our community through the visual arts. They believe artists are made, not born. They are committed to removing barriers and providing support in a diverse learning community for people of all income levels and experiences to realize themselves as artists.
In May 2024, Raynier Institute and Foundation granted $250,000 in support of the Art Next Level Capacity Campaign, a significant capital and capacity building initiative, including relocating Gage’s main campus to a fully accessible, purpose-built location in South Lake Union that will catalyze Seattle’s downtown revitalization, investing in staff and organizational infrastructure, and creating guaranteed tuition support for their students.
Raynier Institute & Foundation will have the naming right of the Vestibule Gallery in the new location.
